Our Founder Story

After working as a certified nail technician for four years, founder Jenny Duranski became ill from working with the toxic products. She began to research all-natural, organic and vegan alternatives, plus determine which ingredients were harmful. In 2013, her research led to founding Noktivo, Chicago’s first and only non-toxic nail salon.

In December 2016, Jenny founded her second beauty brainchild, Lena Rose, named after her daughter. It is the first green beauty boutique and green spa in Chicago, focusing on vegan, non-toxic, “farm-to-facial” services and products that are 100% safe for your body.

Jenny is a confessed serial entrepreneur, recovering perfectionist who enjoys gardening, building things and serving her local community. She is a proud board member of Local First Chicago, an organization that promotes independent business.
